About Mindfulness
“It is not uncommon for people to spend their whole life waiting to start living.”
Eckhart Tolle
Mindfulness is the practice of consciously paying attention to the present moment, without judgement, allowing us to live life more fully. Research shows that mindfulness can help:
- Reduce anxiety
- Prevent depression relapse
- Strengthen the immune system
- Reduce chronic pain
- Boost creativity
At this retreat, we will explore the attitudes of mindfulness (including non-judgement, acceptance, and trust), try different mindfulness meditations, and take part in mindful activities such as walking and creative journaling.

About Hatha & Restorative Yoga
Hatha Yoga is a traditional and foundational form of yoga that focuses on:
- Physical postures (asanas)
- Breathwork (pranayama)
- Relaxation
It is accessible for all levels, promoting flexibility, strength, balance, and coordination while reducing stress and fostering inner peace.
Restorative Yoga complements Hatha Yoga by focusing on deep relaxation and gentle, supported poses. Using props like bolsters, blankets, and blocks, Restorative Yoga helps to:
- Reduce stress
- Improve sleep
- Promote overall well-being
Together, these styles provide a balanced approach to strengthening the body while embracing stillness and rest.
What Do I Need to Bring?
We provide all yoga equipment, but you may choose to bring your own yoga mat, blocks, bolsters, or props.
